Leaving Moab, Utah - Destination Rye, Colorado

Check out the next three photos.  The Colorado river which runs around Moab was rising due to snow melt.  Our campground was in a low area and you can see the water rising close to the campground.  This was a tent area and several tents had to move during the night.



 Quite a change in scenery.  Good to see some green mountains.  We drove US-50 and crossed Monarch pass at 11,300' and 56 degrees.


No, this picture is not tilted.  This was a several mile 8 to 10 percent grade.


Still snow on the mountains.

Camped near Salida, Colorado tonight.
